Today felt like a whirlwind — multitasking, urgent requests, the relentless pull of “more” on every side.

For many of us—especially mums balancing work and children during these summer holidays—the pace can feel even more relentless.

I could feel it—the pressure rising, the familiar tightening across my chest, anxiety curling just beneath the surface.

In the quiet corners of that busy day, I found myself asking:

Why does everything feel so urgent in this modern world?

I am grateful for all I have—truly, I remind myself often.

But even gratitude needs room to breathe. To land softly.

What I’m really craving lately is time—time to breathe, to think, to just be.

And maybe that’s why writing calls me back.

Writing slows everything down.

It flows gently, timelessly — like a different rhythm from the one I move through most days.
