Remembering to stay present and grateful
Do you often step on that hamster wheel and not get off it for days as a time? I often do…
I get up at a certain time, walk the dog at a certain time, have my breakfast at a certain time, make sure boys are ready for school at a certain time, start work at a certain time, eat lunch at a certain time, finish work at a certain time, do the housework in a certain time, make dinner at a certain time, stop doing and aim to relax by a certain time (not always achieved), go to bed at a certain time etc. etc. - then get up the next day and do it all again!
We are always watching that darn clock which quite honestly is another mechanism to control us and I can’t wait until we don’t have to do everything by the clock any more. Even writing the above makes me realise how much of my day is time related and time restricted.
Until that time comes, we all need to carve out some time to stay present and grateful because that is our point of true light and power. That is what manifests a great life for us all. Even if you did nothing else, being grateful attracts more of that which you are grateful for.
It was the reason I started this blog, to help others focus on their daily alignment as well as using it as a tool to ensure I did it too!
So even if you can’t do it every day, lets all try and take some time out, even a few times a week to stop focusing on how much we have to do and start focusing on how much we can appreciate in this moment.
10 things am grateful for today:
I am so happy and grateful for
The beautiful sunny days we have been having this past week and how great it feels to get up early and enjoy them
Watching our dog run free at the paw paddock early this morning whilst enjoying the warm weather in short sleeves
That my family are all healthy, well and happy
That our garden paving will be totally finished next week
That my boys have been really enjoying each others company this weekend, even sleeping over in each others rooms
That I always have plenty of food in the cupboard and fridge to keep us all nourished
That the universe always has my back and I always have everything I need
That we have a beautiful home to live in and that we are steadily changing it to be an amazing space to live in
That I have a great job and am able to work from home and work flexibly around my family
That I get to write this blog and focus on gratitude
What are you grateful for today? Take a little time out of your busy schedule to stop and focus on what is amazing about your life right now.
